The 11th National Apprenticeship Week kicks off from Monday 5th to Friday 9th March. Once again, the annual event will bring together employers and apprentices from across England to celebrate the success of all things apprenticeship, along with the positive impact apprenticeships have on individuals, businesses, and the wider economy.
Coordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service, the event also aims to encourage even more people to choose the apprenticeship route into an amazing career. The theme for the #NAW2018 is ‘Apprenticeships Work’. Showcasing how apprenticeships work:
- for individuals
- for employers
- for the community
- for the wider economy
This year there are two landmark activities during the Week:
#10kTalks
Collectively, National Apprenticeship Week aims to get 10,000 people to publicly speak over the course of the week about why Apprenticeships Work. Apprentices, ex-apprentices, apprentice champions, employers, industry bodies, MPs and more will all deliver talks to inspire more people about apprenticeships.
#WorksForMe
Apprenticeships work for individuals, employers, local communities and the wider economy. #WorksForMe is a social media campaign that encourages everyone involved in apprenticeships to share their own inspiring story. To share your own apprenticeships story, simply post to social media with the #WorksForMe hashtag.
