This 1-7 June the CIPHE is joining charities across the country to celebrate Volunteers’ Week 2023. Held annually, Volunteers’ Week gives organisations like the CIPHE, the chance to say a very big ‘thank you’ to all those who give their time and expertise freely.
Like many registered educational charities, the CIPHE relies heavily on volunteers from all walks of life. Those freely given hours of expertise help the Institute operate and take its industry-wide work forwards.
Volunteering activities include:
For the time-poor and the social media savvy, your support can be as little as sharing important CIPHE messaging or remembering to add your designatory letters to your profile pages – consequently, promoting that you are a member.
Kevin Wellman, CEO of the CIPHE commented: “My immense thanks go to all those who provide such proactive support to the CIPHE both at home and abroad. Throughout the last year, the Institute has received many hundreds of days of volunteer’s time from people representing all strands of the plumbing, heating and renewable industry. It is a testament to the passion, knowledge and expertise of those within our industry. Our membership is growing and engagement with government and industry is increasing all the time. This Volunteers’ Week we give thanks to all those who help make the CIPHE the organisation that it is.”
Membership Director, Tim Sainty commented, “Volunteer week gives us the chance to celebrate and give thanks for the invaluable contributions made by our volunteers. CIPHE is one of thousands of charities that could not operate as effectively without the time and dedication that is given by dedicated, passionate people looking for no reward beyond seeing us serve charitable aims and remit.”
When it comes to volunteering, everyone has skills that they can put to good use. If you are considering giving something back to the industry, the CIPHE has a wide range of roles to suit the level of spare time you have available.
