By way of introduction, Quantum are a decarbonisation specialist and renewables training provider. We have been establishing our passion for raising an awareness of the need to address the skills shortage in industry. Quantum is committed to accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy by upskilling youth in further education. We've developed and installed renewable training facilities covering six low-carbon technologies and created a course, with the awarding body NOCN, to complement these facilities.

Our initiative started in London colleges and is expanding across the UK. We have since worked with over 30 FE colleges nationwide. Our facilities enable hands on, practical learning in low carbon technologies, which are the important practical skills needed for future careers as renewable installers and maintenance engineers. Together with these colleges, we are one step closer in addressing the urgent green skills gap to decarbonize the built environment.

We have partnered with NOCN Group to Address Green Skills Gap with Regulated Built Environment Courses

Quantum has partnered with NOCN Group, a leading UK-based international skills charity and qualification provider, to address the green skills gap in the built environment sector. With the UK’s commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, the demand for professionals with expertise in sustainable construction and low-carbon technologies is rapidly increasing. This collaboration aims to meet this need by offering regulated courses focused on sustainable practices, low-carbon technologies, and retrofit skills.

NOCN Group brings extensive experience in vocational education and qualifications, ensuring that the courses meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. NOCN Group CEO Graham Hasting-Evans highlighted the organisation’s dedication to green skills, emphasizing its commitment to delivering high-quality training solutions that address the skills required for a sustainable economy. By partnering with Quantum, NOCN Group aims to ensure that the right people gain access to these critical skills.

Quantum has a long-standing commitment to practical, hands-on training in the built environment sector. The new suite of courses, developed in collaboration with NOCN Group, will focus on key areas such as energy-efficient building practices, renewable energy technologies, and net-zero building design. These courses will cater to a wide range of learners, from newcomers to experienced professionals seeking to upskill, and will be delivered through a combination of online and in-person learning. All courses will be fully accredited by NOCN Group.

This partnership is expected to have a significant impact on the UK’s transition to a greener economy, helping to bridge the green skills gap and equipping the workforce with the expertise required to meet the country’s net-zero goals. Quantum and NOCN Group also plan to expand their offerings in the future, adapting to emerging trends in the green economy.
