Excitement is mounting as we gear up for the first regional heat of the prestigious HIP Learner of the Year 2024, commencing next week.
During January and February, HIP will be travelling to six regions across the UK in search of the best upcoming talent within our industry. In each location, 12 students will battle it out in a live practical test, with six regional winners going through to the Grand Final in April.
Reflecting on his experience, last year’s winner Elliot Julian from Cornwall College, St Austell said, ”100% go for it! It’s not even about winning, just for taking part you’ll learn so much.”
Celebrating its fifteenth year, the competition provides a fantastic platform for
apprentice and student plumbers to showcase their skills, gain confidence and win an array of prizes to support them at the very start of their careers.
HIP Learner of the Year 2024 is proudly sponsored by Viessmann, Wolseley Plumb and Parts, Milwaukee, Alberts IPS, Kingspan, Polypipe, Stelrad, Triton, WaterSafe, Wilo, Snickers, Talon, The Worshipful Company of Plumbers, Yorkshire Copper Tube, FIX Radio and CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering)
