HIP Learner of the Year 2025 is Underway!

During January and February, HIP will travel to six regions across the UK in search of the best upcoming talent within our industry. In each location, 10 students will battle it out in a live practical test, designed by The CIPHE. The six regional winners, plus the overall highest runner-up, will go through to the Grand Final in March.

After a fantastic start at Weston College – South West Skills Campus, we’re excited to announce the first regional Winner and Runner-Up of our prestigious HIP Learner of the Year 2025 competition! A huge congratulations to Zeb Champion from Petroc College for taking home the South West Regional Winner title and to the Runner-Up Louis Cox from Bridgwater and Taunton College.

After another exciting competition hosted at Gower College Swansea – Tycoch Campus, we’re pleased to announce the second regional Winner and Runner-Up of the HIP Learner of the Year Welsh heat! A huge congratulations to Kian Elward from Cardiff and Vale College for taking home the Welsh Regional Winner title for 2025 and to the Runner- Up Harry Ward from Cardiff and Vale College.

The standard of work has been incredible, and all the competitors should be immensely proud of themselves for taking part and competing.
